Vocational Support is Community Integrated Care’s Liverpool based supported employment service, assisting people with learning disabilities, mental health concerns and autism to access employment and vocational training.
Our service supports people across Liverpool, Merseyside, Knowsley and Halton to find the right job for them by:-
- identifying their individual skills, interests, aspirations and goals;
- matching people with like-minded Vocational Support Workers;
- finding the right vocational training and qualifications;
- helping find work experience and job taster placements;
- offering on-going support throughout their employment.
We work closely with lots of different types of employers, seeking a wide range of job roles which offer the people we support a real opportunity to become valued and integrated team members. The people we support are able to make a genuine and positive contribution to their workplace, enjoying the sense of empowerment, independence and achievement which working brings.
We are proud to deliver placements with the likes of Next, McDonalds, Everton in the Community, Widnes Vikings, Bluecoat, Tesco and ASDA. We also work with a host of fantastic independent local businesses.
At Vocational Support we have lots of experience in supporting people on the autistic spectrum. Reflecting this, we were the first supported employment service in the country to achieve Autism Accreditation status, formally recognising our best practice approach to supporting people with autism.
We are also active members of the British Association for Supported Employment.
We are always looking to welcome new people into our service. Admissions and referrals are made via your social worker or community nurse but please feel free to contact on 0151 230 4490 or by filling out our contact form (below), and we can discuss our service with you in more detail.
