Community Integrated Care is delighted to have won the top accolade at the 2019 North West Great British Care Awards, picking up the prestigious ‘Care Employer’ title. It was shortlisted in a further 8 categories at the event, which took place on Saturday 26th October.
The ‘Care Employer’ award celebrates organisations that demonstrate a commitment to care, to both its employees and the people it supports. Community Integrated Care was commended by the judges for putting people at the centre of what they do, after the launch of an ambitious five-year strategy.
Community Integrated Care recorded a double success on the evening, also winning the ‘Care Innovator Award’ for their input in developing the ground-breaking Community Integrated Care Learning Disability Super League, a collaboration with rugby league’s Super League and RFL governing bodies to create a world-first inclusive sports programme.

The annual awards, which took place at the Midland Hotel in Manchester celebrate excellence in the social care sector and saw the charity shortlisted for 7 further honours including the Care Manager, Care Newcomer, Care Team and Care Worker of the Year categories.
Samantha Brennan, Managing Director of the North West at Community Integrated Care says, “It’s an absolute honour to collect the Care Employer award, recognising our commitment to developing our colleagues and delivering exceptional care for people in the North West. We continually strive to be an employer of choice in our region and this award recognises the great work we’re doing here.”
