Thorney Croft is a 60 bed care home with adjoining day care centre, which provides care and support for older people. Situated in the picturesque Scottish port of Stranraer, the home offers superb views and is close to local shops, libraries, banks and parks. The home also provides easy access to all major transport routes and services.

Thorney Croft offers a homely, happy and relaxed atmosphere, which is superbly designed and offers easy access for wheelchair users. Thorney Croft was opened in July 1999. Since that time, and in consultation with residents and colleagues, an on-going redecoration and refurbishment plan has ensured our high standards have been maintained throughout our home. All rooms offer en-suite facilities and include both television and telephone points.Couples can also be accommodated for at Thorney Croft by converting rooms into a bedroom and sitting room arrangement.

You are encouraged to reflect your individuality in the décor of your room and can personalise your room with your own treasured photographs, ornaments and furnishings, if you wish. Thorney Croft is designed over two floors and is divided into six wings. Each wing caters for ten residents and comprises of a dining room, kitchenette, TV lounge and quiet area. Thorney Croft has a large garden area and enclosed courtyard garden providing pleasant and secure environments for residents who enjoy being outdoors.
