The staff at Salisbury Park remember their colleague and friend, Thomas Roberts.
Remembering D-Day.

Gardner House, Hartlepool, was festooned with bunting and balloons when staff and residents celebrated the anniversary of D-Day. A special wartime meal of spam fritters, beans and mash was laid on, along with patriotic cakes with blue, white and red icing.

Soup-er fun!

Staff and residents at Windsor Drive put their culinary skills to the test when they held a competition to see who makes the best home made soup. The competition was introduced to inspire residents to develop cookery skills and learn more about nutrition.

The coveted ‘Silver Ladle’ trophy was won by Julie Charlton for her delicious vegetable soup.

It's behind you!
Residents at Amberleigh House senior care home, Merseyside, had a fantastic time when they were entertained by a performance of the Mother Goose pantomine.
"We had a ball!"
The team at Dormy Way had a brilliant time when they held their Summer Ball in August. They had a brilliant evening of partying, singing and dancing.

My brother's "In Control" thanks to CIC

In Control is a government initiative to promote opportunities for people accessing care to take charge of their lives. CIC is participating in two In Control pilots in North East England. Ann from Newcastle wrote to us to tell us how this new initiative is changing her brothers life for the better. This is what she wrote

I have worked in the care sector for many years, working in nursing and residential homes, doing part of my adult nurse training and now in senior support role supporting people in the community....

Friends in high places!

Elaine Bainbridge from Cookson Court, Penrith, wrote to Prime Minister Gordon Brown hoping to meet him during a recent visit to her local area. Whilst this wasn’t possible, Elaine was surprised and delighted to receive a personally signed book about 10 Downing Street from the PM himself!
