Simon Attwell

Simon is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has over 30 years commercial, financial and leadership experience in a variety of private and public sector organisations. Prior to his retirement in 2010 Simon was the Director of Finance at the University of Salford, where he sat on the Executive Committee of BUFDG (British Universities Directors Group), representing the Universities of the North West of England. 

Simon has been an active and valued member of CIC’s Board of Trustees for over 8 years and was invited to become Chairman of the Board in 2009. Simon now uses his wealth of leadership, financial and governance experience to help ensure CIC’s future growth, whilst remaining true to its values as one of the largest, most innovative chartable providers in the care sector.
