CIC's Community Services provide professional support for addictions, homelessness and younger people's services.
All CIC Community Services' focus on the person rather than the problem. Our services are tailored to meet the specific needs of the people we serve. CIC have developed national strategies on person-centred planning and social inclusion to enable people to transform their lives and feel they belong.
Addictions services
CIC Substance Misuse Services has developed to become CIC Addictions services, offering support for individuals who are seeking help to escape dependency, whether it is for drugs, alcohol or gambling.

Our services offer:

• Assessment, advice and information
• Motivational interviewing
• One-to-one counselling
• Couple counselling
• Relapse prevention
• Referral to appropriate agencies
• Telephone support
• Home Visits
• Brief intervention
• Employer referral scheme
• Massage
• Biophysical Solutions treatment system

We also offer advice, support and training to other professionals, including Gamcare (gambling addiction support).
Homeless services
CIC’s Leo Project, Halton Goals and Belvedere are all supported housing, education and personal development projects for local homeless people.
GOALs and Belvedere provide services to young people aged between 16 and 25.

The Leo Project aims to offer individuals affected by drugs/alcohol addiction the opportunity to experience learning, education and opportunity (LEO). The three strands of the project are, activity based day centre, supported flats and out-reach service.

All three projects offers a secure home with support and help to access training and development for up to two years.

Homeless people access our services from a number of different sources.
A Referral can be made via phone or in person by:
  • Client Self Referral
  • The Borough Council / Probation / Social Services / other accommodation providers & agencies
