Munches Park

Munches Park senior care home provides residential, respite and day care support for older people. We are situated on the outskirts of Dalbeattie in the picturesque South West of Scotland, only a few miles from the Solway coast and surrounded by forestry.

Care and Support

• We support people with a wide range of age related conditions, including dementia.
• Staff at Munches Park receive specialist training to deliver excellent care to all our residents, including CIC’s unique BTEC in Dementia Care.
• All our residents have their own key worker who helps prepare and deliver their personalised care plan.
• We hold a regular forum for residents to be able to voice their opinions on the day-to-day running of our home.
• We have strong links with the Alzhemier’s Society, Age UK (formally Age Concern/Help the Aged) and local advocacy groups.

Our Home

• Our home has a range of facilities such as a cinema room, accessible garden and hairdressing facilities.
• We are close to many tourist attractions in and near Dalbeattie, and also benefit from being near to local amenities such as banks, shops and cafés.
• There are no restrictions on visiting hours and friends and relatives are encouraged to take an active role in home life.
• Meal suggestions from residents are welcome and we are happy to cater for any individual dietary needs.

An Active Life

• We have regular visits from local school children and entertainers including musicians, dancers, a mobile library and the local clergy.
• We fully support residents to pursue their hobbies and interests.
• Munches Park runs an extensive activity programme which gives residents the opportunity to take part in activities such as baking, reminiscence sessions, cinema, bingo, flower arranging and pamper sessions.
• Individual spiritual and cultural beliefs are respected and we support residents to be active in their faith.
• We have regular day trips, visiting different places such as the coast, pubs, cafes, garden centre.
