Merse House

Merse House is a residential care home and day care service based in Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway, South West Scotland. Merse House overlooks the River Dee and is close to many areas of outstanding beauty.

Care and Support

• Merse House is a warm, friendly care home providing high quality care and support to older people, including individuals who are frail or have conditions such as dementia.
• Residents have their own personal care plan and families are encouraged to participate in the creation of this.
• Each resident has their own key worker who looks after all their needs.

A Homely Atmosphere

• Our chef prepares a wide range of fresh, nutritious meals and can cater for any dietary requirements.
• Our en-suite rooms can be personalised with residents’ own furnishings and can be decorated to their taste.
• We have a number of cosy lounge areas and each section of our home has a dining area and kitchen.
• Merse House has no restrictions on visiting hours and families and friends are encouraged to play an active role in home life.
• The home is situated close to many scenic areas such as the River Dee, Kircudbright Bay and the Galloway countryside.

An Active Life   

• Merse House runs an extensive activity programme and gives residents the opportunity to take part in activities such as arts and crafts, quiz nights, pamper sessions, reminiscence evenings and film nights.
• We fully support residents to pursue their hobbies and interests.
• We regularly receive visits from schools and the local clergy.
