Care and support is delivered by a carefully selected and well trained staff team 24 hours a day. CIC are able to provide for a wide range of needs by working in close partnership with members of the local community health team and social work teams. Nursing care needs will be provided by the district nursing team.

Residential Care
Our 21 care homes provide homely and supportive environments with continual support and nursing care. Through our person centred approach and social inclusion strategy we promote dignity, independence and choice throughout all our homes.
Day Care
At CIC our day care arrangements are based upon the individual having access to a range of stimulating activities on a daily basis, along with an opportunity to meet other people. Some day care activities may contribute to enabling people to find paid employment and vulnerable older people to continue to live in their own home for as long as possible. The service is normally available from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday. Though in some instances due to demand we are able to provide a service in the evening and at week-ends.
Intermediate Care
Care and support is provided in a residential setting for a short time (usually between one and six weeks). This enables an older person to rest and recover before returning home.
Respite Care
CIC's commitment to "Putting Individuals First" embraces carers too. Respite care provides the opportunity for both individuals to access extra care and support when they need it. Our highly trained residential home staff will ensure we are able to meet the specific needs of the person coming to stay. The carer will have a well earned rest, reassured that the person is safe, cared for and participating in the daily life of the home. This type of respite care is normally planned well in advance, but where respite stay is required at short notice, every effort is made to accommodate this request.
