Exciting opportunity for 3 new Trustees

One of the largest and most successful social care charities in the UK, CIC (Community Integrated Care), are looking to appoint three new trustees with a passion for making a difference. Your skills, expertise and judgement will be invaluable in supporting our charity to continue to improve the lives of individuals with care and support needs.

Employing over 4000 staff, CIC delivers a wide range of specialist care and support services to vulnerable people in almost 300 locations across the UK. Operating in a commercially competitive and challenging environment, we are looking for dynamic individuals who share our sense of ambition and vision.

As a CIC trustee, you will be working alongside other skilled professionals, helping CIC to achieve its charitable aims. Supporting CIC as a trustee will be a valuable and rewarding role that enhances your professional growth and broadens your career experience.

For at least two of the vacancies we require previous knowledge of the care sector with a demonstrable ongoing interest in the complexities of care delivery, commissioning, regulation or policy. We would also be interested in candidates with other business professional skills (e.g. IT, Communications).  Since we have a large presence in Scotland as well as England, we would be particularly interested to hear from candidates with knowledge of the Scottish care sector.

Whatever your background you must be able to contribute at a strategic level, and share our values.  You will understand the complex environment in which we operate and be comfortable working within a dedicated and established team.

The Board meets 4 times a year at our offices in Widnes, Cheshire, with additional teleconferences with the Executive team on a monthly basis.

If you think you have the qualities we require, please send your CV and a supporting statement for the attention of Simon Attwell, Chair of the Board of Trustees, CIC, Old Market Court, Miners Way, Widnes, Cheshire, WA8 7SP.

We value and promote diversity and particularly want to hear from people with a disability and people from black and minority ethnic communities who are able to make a real contribution to this organisation.
