You First autumn edition - out now!
 
The autumn edition of ‘You First’ is out now (click here to read). Keeping you up-to-date on all the latest news and happenings from the CIC community, this month we also celebrate some amazing achievements from our staff and service users across the country including-
  • ‘Homelessness to success’ – four of our Homelessness Services clients talk to us about their journey to achieving their own personal goals and aspirations. 
  • ‘From the Home Front to the Front Line’ –You First hears about the extraordinary sacrifices some our senior care residents made during the Second World War.
  • ‘Care for your community’ – CIC reaches Phase 3 British Standard Accreditation for our Environmental Management System, as well as being shortlisted in the best CSR category at the National Business Awards!
  • ‘CIC’s Special Sportsman’ – three cheers for our service users who took part in this summer’s Special Olympics, bringing home a crop of medals along the way.
 
We also feature an interesting article on the release of a hard hitting cinema campaign challenging the preconceptions surrounding mental illness, which has been making international news.
 
And last but certainly not least, we give you all the lowdown on the run up to our first ever National Conference and Awards Ceremony. Due to be held on 1st December at St George’s Hall, Liverpool, our conference will give us the opportunity to engage with leading policy makers, academics and  professionals from our sector, followed by a glittering awards ceremony celebrating the successes of CIC’s staff and service users.
