Care homes celebrate 10th anniversary.

Thorney Croft Care Home and Day Care Centre in Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway, celebrate their 10th Anniversary this July.


To mark the occasion they are hosting a garden party on July 17th with over 300 residents, day care users, families and members of their local community invited to the celebration.
Kay McCowen, Service Manager says, “I have worked here since we first opened 10 years ago, in which time I have seen many changes. One thing that remains the same however, is the high regard in which Thorney Croft is held in our local community. With our dedicated team and support from families and friends, we look forward to a bright future with many more reasons to celebrate.”
Staff and residents at Charnwood Lodge in Dumfries celebrated the service’s 10th Anniversary on Saturday 30th May 2009 with a 1940’s theme. In the glorious sunshine they enjoyed a garden party with cake stalls, tombola’s and raffles.

To complete the weekend of celebrations residents enjoyed a performance by a local country-dance children’s group.
