CIC is pleased to announce we have maintained our Investors in People (IIP) status in Dumfries and Galloway for Continuing to Put Individuals First. CIC marked this achievement by holding a celebration event at CIC’s Carlingwalk residential home, Buchan, Castle Douglas on 6th July at 2.00pm. Local MP’s, Scottish Commissioners and representatives from Scotlands voluntary sector all attended on the day.
The event was attended by special guest, Lord Lieutenant Sir Malcolm Ross GCVO, OBE. The presentation was made by CIC Director of Partnerships, Robert Black.
The successful 36 month review followed an exhaustive and complex assessment by IIP Assessor Alistair McNeill during April 2006. All seven CIC’s Older persons and specialist services in Dumfries and Galloway received top results.
In his report Mr McNeil praised CIC saying: “Staff morale is high and employees are positive about CIC, maintaining that the organisation is a good employer and presents opportunities for the advancement of people.”
