CIC was formed in 1988 with the purpose of assisting people leaving long stay hospitals to access better lives within their communities. We now have 20 years experience of developing inclusive, innovative services, based upon the principles of integration and continued respect for individual need, choice and dignity. Our Independent Living Services proudly deliver individually tailored, high quality and best value support to thousands of people with learning difficulties, physical disabilities and/or mental health concerns, as well as providing specialist support for adults and children on the Autism spectrum.

Working in over 200 settings, from Morayshire to Portsmouth, CIC provide support best suited to each individual, whether that is 24/7 care in a supported living or registered tenancy, or a few hours self-directed flexible support. All our services are aimed at ensuring that the people we support are able to lead fuller lives within their communities. We seek to provide independence and quality of life through our specialist knowledge and innovative solutions and techniques.

Social inclusion and person centred planning at the heart of all we do and our commitment to promoting social integration both locally and nationally is reflected in our national Service User Inclusion Strategy. To find out more about the types of services we provide click here.
