St Johns is a 24 bed nursing home which provides care and support for older people with enduring mental health problems as well as specialising in dementia and other cognitive impairments. At CIC’s St Johns, a huge emphasis is placed on providing a therapeutic atmosphere for every person who lives with us.

We recognise your rights and need for privacy and treat each individual with dignity and respect. At St Johns you will have a named nurse who is responsible for your individualised Care Plan. This is compiled together with both you and your family, it is regularly evaluated according to your changing needs. The Care Plan promotes independence and choices. It respects personal belief systems and addresses your physical and mental health issues.

Each individual who lives with us has a key worker who is assisted by a named support worker. CIC provides an ongoing high quality training and development programme for our dedicated and motivated staff. At St Johns we have qualified nurses on duty at all times.

St Johns offers a therapeutic, supporting and caring atmosphere. Our single storey design and open layout provides freedom of movement and easy access for wheelchair users. St Johns has recently been refurbished to a high standard and the interior professionally designed with the involvement of both residents and colleagues.

We provide single rooms all with en-suite facilities and television points. You are encouraged to reflect individuality in the décor of your own room, you can personalise your room with your own treasured photographs, ornaments and furnishings if you wish.

St Johns also offers a spacious dining room, large lounge area complete with Plasma TV, a designated smoking room and a conservatory which leads to our courtyard garden. Our garden provides a pleasant and secure environment for residents who enjoy being outdoors.
