Charnwood Lodge is a 60 bed residential home with an adjoining day care centre. We offer permanent, respite and day care services and support for older people in Scotland. Situated on the outskirts of Dumfries, Charnwood Lodge is just a short car ride from the town’s shops, libraries and museums.

The beauty and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside attracts year round tourists to this bustling Scottish town. Charnwood Lodge offers a homely, happy and relaxed atmosphere, which is superbly designed and offers easy access for wheelchair users. Within the home there are 6 wings each accommodating up to ten residents.

Our home has recently been refurbished to a high standard and the interior professionally designed with the complete involvement of both residents and colleagues. All rooms have en-suite facilities complete with televisions and individual heating control. Couples can be accommodated for by the conversion of rooms into a bedroom and sitting room arrangement.

You are encouraged to reflect your individuality in the décor of your room. You can personalise your room with your own treasured photographs, ornaments and furnishings, if you wish. Each wing offers a dining room, kitchenette and spacious lounge area. There are also additional individual lounges within the home plus a designated smoking room.

Our large landscaped garden and sensory garden provide pleasant and secure environments for residents who enjoy being outdoors.
