CIC’s Board of Trustees has appointed Simon Attwell as Chair
Simon has over 30 years commercial financial and leadership experience in a variety of private and public sector organisations and has been an active member of CIC Board of Trustees for six years (recently as Chair of Audit Committee). He steps into the role at an exciting time of CIC’s development as he has recently been joined on the Board of Trustees by colleagues from Manchester Care whose services joined the CIC Group last November...Click here for more information.

Frankie Robertson - Trustee

Frankie is a former committee member and treasurer of Halton & District Women’s Aid where she was involved in the establishment of refuges and had day to day responsibilities for the financial management of the organization. She was a volunteer for WRVS for many years. She takes an active interest in the needs of CIC’s Service Users, whom she meets on her frequent visits to CIC facilities. For several years Frankie was a committee member of Halton Hospital’s League of Friends.

CIC duties: Member of Nomination Committee; Member of Remuneration Committee.
Paul Rundle - Trustee
Paul is a business consultant with a broad experience of general management and an extensive record in delivering organisational change, business growth and modernisation.
CIC duties: Member of Renumeration Committee
Nick Hawkins - Trustee

Nick is a Chartered Marketer and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is the Head of Director Programmes at the European Centre for Corporate Governance at Liverpool John Moores University Business School, where he is also an Enterprise Fellow.

Jean Clement - Trustee

Jean is a qualified nurse and former manager of two CIC care homes. Now retired, Jean is a CIC trustee and is also on the steering group of CIC’s Person Centred Planning (PCP) Initiative.

 

Paul Stanion

Paul is a senior partner in the Manchester office of Davis Langdon, an international firm providing project management and quantity surveying services. Paul has expertise in construction, property maintenance and project management.

Gill Adamson

CIC chair of Trustees Simon Attwell is pleased to announce the appointment of the new Deputy Chair; Gill Adamson.

 The former chair of Manchester Care, Gill joined the CIC board as a Trustee in December 2008. She has over many years’ professional experience in a range of sectors and currently runs a consultancy business providing training, team building and motivational courses.

Simon said: “Gill has a wealth of experience in governance and was successful in guiding Manchester Care Trustees and executive through the recent merger with CIC. Gill’s appointment further unifies the two organisations and expands our area of expertise at a time of rapid change in the care and health sectors.

 CIC CEO Phil Edgington added: “We have a clear strategy for taking the charity forward and a committed team to deliver it, so the introduction of this new position of deputy chair is a great opportunity for us to fully utilise the skills of our Trustees.

 

 
 

 

Chris Thompson - Trustee

Chris is a Chartered Accountant and experienced Managing Director. He is currently Chief Financial Officer for the University of Nottingham. Chris has acquired extensive understanding of the primary healthcare sector through his management of various businesses.

Andrew Gregory
Andrew is a senior partner with DWF LLP, one of the largest employers of legal personnel in the North West. He qualifies as a solicitor in 1983 and now specialises in the restructuring and turnaround of companies. He has a particular interest in mental health problems and the improvment in the provision of care in this area. Andrew is also trustee for CALM - the Campaign Against Living Miseraby.
